Somali Aid and Development Association (SADA) is a non profit making, non-political, community based organization. SADA was founded in 22, September 2006 by a group of indigenous, intellectual, Diaspora, elders, women, and youth society at ceremony held at Amira hotel attended by different society from miscellaneous locations such as Diaspora, woman association, youth association, business group and religious leaders.
SADA was intended to carry out humanitarian activities to support vulnerable groups especially women, children and old people. After 16 years of the collapse of the central functioning government the founders of SADA felt the pain and need assistance of the target vulnerable group for this reason it came necessary to the establishment of this non-profit organization named Somali Aid and Development Association (SADA) to mutually address the aggressive socio-economic worsening conditions encountered by children, mothers and those displaced and the elderly who are the most vulnerable group in the community as to promote community based needs of health care and education initiatives in the field of Health, Nutrition and Education sectors among others within the vulnerable society in order to deliver the most crucial basic necessity in life.
Objectives
- To support vulnerable community and improve their living conditions through enhancing their education and healthcare.
- To improve the Nutrition status of the under 5 children, lactating and Pregnant mothers in the project areas through MCH system.
- Enhance the socio-economic status of the vulnerable societies in the operational area.
